In 2007, Kurt Platteeuw moved away from all fixed feeding systems. He developed a completely new nutritional philosophy, where one balanced mixture formed the basis for the entire racing season. Together with Vanrobaeys, Platteeuw Special No. 523 was created, a mixture that has been continuously refined and optimized over the years.

Platteeuw Special No. 523 is a complete sport mixture that can be fed to pigeons all week long. The mixture remains deliberately relatively light, but thanks to the addition of high-quality oilseeds, it contains all the nutrients needed to recover daily, build condition, and be ready for top performances.
During the final days before basketing, the schedule is supplemented with extra corn, peanuts, and Premium Power Sport or Premium Power Dynamik. This ensures energy reserves are optimally built up for the race, without compromising the simplicity and power of the Platteeuw system.
